Sugar Free Sweet and Buttery Paleo Bread

After I made scrambled eggs in coconut oil along with some cinnamon spiced apple slices and an avocado, I was craving some toast!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you ”Sweet and Buttery Paleo Bread”.  Since Julian Bakery makes this awesome stuff called Paleo Bread, I am given the option to have some toast, or a sandwich, or even make bread crumbs out of ‘em!  Yet I still can enjoy the benefits of a low-carb and gluten-free lifestyle.  Since both versions of Paleo Bread have just one net carb, as well as both being GMO free, grain and soy free, and also made with organic ingredients, I am going to toast some up with some tasty toppings! 

To make this morning’s Paleo Bread that much better, I am busting out some delicious Paleo Butter.  I’m sure you’ve read about this wonderful French-style ghee from grass fed cow’s on my blog posts in the past.  But if you haven’t…..  It’s packed with CLA Tonalin, vitamins A, D, and K2, and yet it’s creamy and goes with just about anything!  After our Paleo Bread is toasted to my liking, I spread on the love with some Paleo Butter, and then reach for something a little sweeter.

This is when I bring in some Nature’s Hollow Sugar-Free Honey.  Yes, it’s sugar-free, and still low carb!  But how low carb?  Each tablespoon has just one net carb!  How is this possible?  With the power of Xylitol, which has been proven to help with gums, teeth, bacteria, and many, many other health benefits.  The only “negative” I learned about when researching Xylitol was that it could cause a detox/ die-off effect, which theoretically is a good thing.  When you stop drinking caffeine, you may experience headaches.  When you cut back on carbs or sugar, you can also have a detox effect.  And when Xylitol kills bad bacteria in your gut you can also have similar issues.  These are all good things, and it’s a step that many of us Paleo folk have experienced in our journey to getting healthy.

1)      Toast Paleo Bread to your liking.

2)      Spread 1 teaspoon of Paleo Butter and 1 teaspoon of Honey per slice of Paleo Bread.

3)      Enjoy!

Sounds easy enough, yet it tastes great and is still very low carb, while being low in calories considering this is giving us some very healthy fats.  For a slice of Coconut Paleo Bread with Paleo Butter and Nature’s Hollow Sugar-Free Honey we are talking about roughly sixty calories per slice, and just less than three net carbs!  And only two grams of sugar!
