Spicy Chicken Salad Paleo Wrap

People ask me all the time “You must train every day to stay in such good shape, right?”   My reply:  “Absolutely not!!!”  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Spicy Chicken Salad Paleo Wrap”.  Honestly, I work out less than ever now that I have my nutrition nailed down.  Seriously, I try to walk a couple miles several times a week, while trying to stay moving during work hours.  I do a twenty to thirty minute intense lifting session once or twice a week (CrossFit “light” is what I’d call it), and I try to do one or two quick interval sessions a week (think Tabata, varied between sprints, rowing, cycling, or even the “Arc Trainer”).  That’s all folks….  My goal is just to stay fit, be somewhat lean and have some decent muscle mass.  I’m not looking to get huge like Arnold, nor am I aiming for Ironman; in that case I would completely change things up.  But for someone looking to be physically well-rounded, I am a firm believer that it doesn’t require killing yourself in the gym, and that it mainly depends on what you put on your plate and then into your body.

This is a perfect example of how I fuel myself, with a low carb meal that is made as organic as possible.  I try to incorporate some quality proteins, healthy fats (notice the dark chicken meat from our local farm, combined with Garlic Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil as well as the MCT’s from the Paleo Wrap), lots of great spices for anti-inflammatory properties as well as added flavor, and tons of the green stuff!!  Anyone that tells you that Paleo consists of bacon and eggs needs to go green!  Although I do love bacon and eggs!

  1. Grill chicken until fully cooked, with spices listed.
  2. Cut up chicken, and toss with Chipotle Chilli Mayo
  3. Toast Paleo Wrap @ 200F for roughly 2-3 minutes (see video on how I used aluminum foil) until wrap just starts to brown.
  4. Toss greens and carrots with Garlic Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil, Coconut Secret – Raw Coconut Vinegar and a few dashes of Sunfood SuperFoods Fine Himlayan Crystal Salt, then add to Paleo Wrap with chicken.

This isn’t your average chicken salad!  It’s an amazing wrap that will keep you going for hours to come, with a smile on your face as you are enjoying each bite.  I truly loved it, and without any GMO’s, gluten, grains, soy, starch, or junk in general, it was a meal that I will definitely be eating in the very near future!  It allowed me to feel good during consumption, as well as directly afterwards.  Since we’ve got a bunch of varied greens from the farm, some organic white and dark chicken meat, shredded carrots, coconut in our Paleo Wrap, as well as vitamins and minerals in our Coconut Secret – Raw Coconut Vinegar, this wrap is loaded to the max with optimum nutrition.

When you eat a low carb meal with gobs of healthy good stuff, you don’t need to work out for hours on end.  Your body switches into fat-burning mode, rather than sugar-burning and fat storage mode.  It’s as if you are in the gym when you’re not!  Would you rather keep workouts to a minimum while eating right and while benefitting long-term health and longevity?  Or would you rather workout a ton, while stressing your body just to burn off that poor quality meal that gave you instant, but short-lived gratification?  I think the answer is quite obvious…  Remember, it’s about 75% diet and 25% exercise, not the other way around.
