Slammin Wild Salmon Paleo Wrap Tumeric

Ahh, wild salmon, filled with Omega 3 fatty acids, essential amino acids, and so much more!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Slammin Wild Salmon Paleo Wrap”.  One thing is for sure, I feel great when I consume wild caught fish on the regular.  I feel like my recovery is that much quicker, my body feels clean and mean, and I mentally feel good about myself.  So, why not make a wild salmon wrap that makes you feel the same about yourself?

I love my fish market; they have some incredible wild caught fresh fish.  But sometimes I just don’t have the time to drive out there to make the purchase.  I’ve been able to locate some wild caught frozen fish at WholeFoods, and I keep it stashed away in my freezer in case of emergency.  Tonight was definitely one of those situations where I worked a little overtime, had to make a pit-stop on the ride home, then finally picked up my daughter and rushed home.  There was no time for a fresh fish purchase, but our frozen wild salmon will suffice.

With a few minutes soaking in lukewarm water, I defrost my wild salmon, and begin cooking it up in one of the most flavorful ghee’s on the market.  PrimalFat Coconut Ghee is all that and a bag of Paleo chips!!  It’s savory, its sweet, and it’s packed with short and medium chain fatty acids to allow you to get/stay in ketosis, and fuel yourself properly.  Meanwhile, it resists oxidation, especially when compared to vegetable oils.

  1. Melt PrimalFat Coconut Ghee in frying pan, then add minced garlic and wild salmon.

  2. Add cut bok choy and onion, allow to sauté.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, and rosemary to your liking.

  4. Flip salmon after roughly 6 minutes, cook for another 6 minutes or until cooked to your liking.

  5. Serve on a Paleo Wrap, top with avocado and sauerkraut.

  6. Enjoy!

A little onion and baby bok choy make this come alive with not just a ton of vitamins, minerals, nutrients and more…. But also a bunch of taste that make the difference.  I love the similar textures of these two veggies, but the difference in taste combined together is quite nice.  Meanwhile we’ve got some avocado and sauerkraut to mix things up a little, some rosemary for added flavor too!  And finally, black pepper and one of my favorite salts money can buy: Sunfood SuperFoods Fine Himalayan Crystal Salt.

This all goes into my Turmeric Paleo Wrap from Julian Bakery….  Yeah it might sound like a lot of “stuff” going in the wrap but trust me; these Paleo Wraps can hold a ton.  Well not really two thousand pounds, but a bunch of good food!!!   The best part is that Paleo Wraps are soy free, no grains and gluten involved, and they are made GMO free!  Plus, they are low carb, low cal, made with healthy organic coconut, and this version is the turmeric one which I’m a huge fan of.  I cannot wait till they go live and you too can try them, because these Turmeric Paleo Wraps are not only tasty, they are that much more healthy with some anti-inflammatory properties, while being great for people with arthritis and even depression!
