Primal Spicy Chicken Sandwich Recipe

Just a spoonful of sugar, as Mary Poppins once said, right?  Well she should’ve used coconut sugar; it’s much healthier and won’t make you think you can float around with an umbrella…. This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Spicy Primal Chicken and Broccoli Sandwich”.  I personally hated Mary Poppins, but she was onto something…. We all love some sugar, and in this recipe a little sweetness via the Coconut Secret – Raw Coconut Crystals really goes a long way.  It’s very low glycemic (GI of only 35), diabetic-friendly, is an abundant source of minerals, 17 amino acids, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH.  And, it’s available from Julian Bakery, right with your coconut Paleo Bread which I’m using to make this delightful sandwich.  Another great item in this recipe is the Paleo Powder, a mix of gluten-free and MSG-free spices and salt that tastes great on just about anything!  Made with chili Powder, pepper blend, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin.  And finally we are incorporating the finest salt around, Sunfood Superfood Fine Himalayan Salt, which brings you 84 trace minerals in a form that can be easily assimilated and metabolized by the body.  Julian Bakery doesn’t mess around; they have sourced some of the best products around for you…. They have become the perfect place to get all of your Paleo needs in one easy to find spot, not to mention it’s safe and secure to make sure your transaction stays between you and Julian Bakery.

1)      Mix last six items together in a bowl to create a dry rub

2)      Coat chicken with dry rub

3)      Cook chicken

4)      Toast (or grill!) Paleo Bread

5)      Cook broccoli rabe to your liking, we liked to blanch in boiling salted water – 4-5 minutes.

PREP TIME:  5 Minutes

COOK TIME:  10 Minutes

Once assembled, this Primal sandwich looked incredible… But what matters is taste, right?  It was slammin’!!!  It featured a great spicy taste, with a hint of sweetness, tag-teamed with a cool crunch from my grilled Paleo Bread and a slight bitterness from the broccoli rabe.  Fan-tastic!!!!  I absolutely love the fact that I can enjoy a sandwich like this, and still be considered Paleo/Primal.  Julian Bakery makes this possible by using healthy, real ingredients that are Paleo/Primal approved… Ingredients like coconut, almond, egg whites, apple cider vinegar, which creates a bread that not only keeps blood sugar stable, but also is low in carbs, calories, and avoids all of the unhealthiness that we are trying to stay away from.  In case you don’t know what I’m referring to, I’ll spell it out for ya…  No GMO’s, no gluten, no grains, no soy, no dairy, no starch, and no yeast.  Plus it will fill your belly up, since it has protein and fiber!  Sounds impossible, but it’s true, and it’s available to you at

So make sure you go and scoop up some Paleo Bread, as well as the other fine Paleo products that I used in this awesome sandwich.  I hope you give this wonderful sandwich a shot, and if you do, please give me a shout-out and let me know how you like it!
