This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Primal Sashimi Salad.” Since yesterday’s leftovers were so delicious, I decided to start today off with some of those healthy greens. But what makes this even more special is what is going on top of these healthy greens. Julian Bakery offers a few great items that I’m using to season, enhance, and amplify the nutrient content of this meal. Starting off with some Coconut Secret – Coconut Vinegar instead of regular vinegar, we are getting healthier vinegar… Even compared to apple cider vinegar! Its vegan, dairy-free, GMO-free, gluten-free, has a ton of potassium, amino acids, B and C vitamins, and even a probiotic. In addition to the Coconut Vinegar I am using a few dashes (cause that’s all it takes!) of Coconut Secret – Coconut Aminos. This wonderful soy replacement not only tastes great, but like the Coconut Vinegar, it has a ton of vitamins, nutrients, and benefits that soy does not provide…. Not to mention a few that I had to look up: Glutamic Acid which increases brain function, Threonine which helps to calm and prevent stress, Aspartic Acid which regulates hormones and acts as a neurotransmitter to the cells, Serine which enhances memory and recognition, Proline which promotes cardiovascular health, Valine which aids in tissue repair, and finally Alanine which balances glucose and assists in converting sugars in the body. Did you realize how beneficial coconut really was? I had a hunch but this sealed the deal, and this is why I also reach for Julian Bakery’s Coconut Paleo Bread! It’s got the power of the coconut, along with protein, fiber, and no soy, gluten, grains, dairy, GMO’s…. And, low in carbs and calories!
