Primal Chicken Spinach & Avocado Ranch Pizza

If great tasting pizza combos is your thing, this is a must try!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Primal Chicken Spinach & Avocado Ranch Pizza”, using Julian Bakery’s Paleo Pizza Crust Mix!  Since we had a very busy day, actually the whole weekend was pretty hectic, we wanted to come home and eat whatever was in the fridge.  Just a lazy dinner for us, but we decided that with minimal effort we could go the extra mile and enjoy a killer pizza dinner.  Using the best gluten and grain free pizza crust mix around, we’re easily on our way to Pizzaville!  The Paleo Pizza Crust Mix isn’t just easy to make, it’s made with quality Paleo ingredients, and it tastes delicious too!

Tonight’s pizza special features Applegate Southwestern-style chicken, baby spinach, fresh garlic, crumbled goat cheese (this ingredient is optional and is what makes this pizza Primal), and a great avocado-ranch sauce drizzled on top at the very end.  It may sound intense, or too much for some folks that like a simple pizza, but trust me; it’s pretty incredible!

Ingredients (for the avocado-ranch sauce):


Preparation (for the avocado-ranch sauce):

  1. Place dill and garlic in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
  2. Add mayonnaise, coconut milk, avocado, and vinegar. Process until smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, then pulse again to combine.

Ingredients (for the pizza):

  • 1 bag Paleo Pizza Crust Mix
  • ½ cup water
  • 3-4 oz Applegate Southwestern-Style chicken, sliced into small chunks
  • 2 cups baby spinach, washed & dried and then cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • EVOO to drizzle
  • Crumbled goat cheese
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper – to taste

Directions (for the pizza):

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F with pizza stone in oven.
  2. Combine Paleo Pizza Crust Mix with water and a pinch of Sea salt in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Place ball of dough on parchment paper and flatten into shape of pizza that you desire.
  4. Prick dough with a fork all over, then place on pizza stone for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove crust, drizzle with EVOO, add spinach, chicken, garlic, goat cheese crumbles, and add back into oven for 11-13 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  6. Remove pizza from oven, and drizzle with avocado-ranch sauce.  Top with salt and pepper, slice and serve!


Prep Time:  10 min

Cook Time:  20-24 min

Makes: One 14” or two 10” pizzas


I didn’t think it was going to be this good, seriously…. But once I took my first bite, I was in love.  The avocado-ranch combined with the spicy chicken goes so well together.  And the crunch from the Paleo Pizza Crust always goes well with some soft goat cheese crumbles.  If you don’t do dairy, I’m sure you will still love this delicious pizza combo!  And the whole time, this is gluten and grain free, there’s no soy or corn, and it’s made with quality ingredients like almond and arrowroot flour, pumpkin powder, and dried egg whites.  I’ve been testing gluten free pizza crusts out, and this one tops the charts.  From taste, to texture, all the way down to the ingredients, Julian Bakery’s Paleo Pizza Crust Mix takes the win!  And the best part is that I feel great afterwards, I can still enjoy the rest of my fun filled day without issues or any consequences!
