Paleo Smoked Salmon and Spinach

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you “Paleo Smoked Salmon and Spinach.”  Yesterday we scooped up some smoked salmon, which I love to eat from time to time…. And when I woke up this morning I was craving that smoky salmon on a healthy slice of coconut Paleo Bread.  So I fired up the toaster oven, and got my heavenly slice of coconut toast cooked up just the way I like it, a little dark on the edges.  And in case you aren’t in the know, the coconut Paleo Bread is low in calories and carbohydrates, as well as completely lacking GMO’s, grains, gluten, dairy, and soy, making it the perfect bread to label as the Paleo Bread!  Plus it has protein and fiber, as well as healthy fats! 

Combined with the healthy fats from our salmon, the nutrients in the spinach… And the capers, did you know that capers have been used to relieve rheumatic pain in traditional medicines.   Combined with the coconut in the Paleo Bread, which is also helpful for joint pain, you have a one-two punch against rheumatoid arthritis.  And next up, I added additional benefit and flavor via the Coconut Secret – Coconut Aminos…  This is one of our favorite items that we got from www.JulianBakery.com/Paleo – along with the other wonderful Coconut Secret products.  The Coconut Aminos have replaced soy in our household, and I’m thankful that we finally found something similar in taste, yet much better when it comes to nutrition…. Also, my aches and pains have been reduced significantly ever since we completely eliminated soy from our diets. 

Ingredients:

• 1 slice coconut Paleo Bread

• 3 ounces smoked salmon

• Hand full of raw spinach

• A few drops of Coconut Secret – Coconut Aminos

• Sea salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

1)      Toast Paleo Bread

2)      When toast is done, top with spinach, wild salmon, and capers.

3)      Add a few drops of Coconut Secret – Coconut Aminos

4)      Add salt & pepper to taste

Prep Time:

• 2 minutes

Cook Time:

• 6 minutes

• 1

A lovely way to kick off my morning, with some great flavor from the wild salmon, capers, and Coconut Aminos…. As well as that notorious “crunch!” from the coconut Paleo Bread!!  Oh, and don’t forget that crisp spinach!  I was tempted to add some Coconut Nectar to it, which tastes incredible and also is very healthy for us thanks to a ton of amino acids and vitamins…. Maybe next time, but for now this meal was very tasty and fulfilling!
