Paleo Roast Beef Egg Tomato On Paleo Bread™

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Roast Beef, Egg, Tomato & Sauerkraut Sandwich.”  Sometimes I wake up and my first thoughts are what I want to eat….  I crave breakfast, and this morning I was craving a juicy sandwich, with some protein and veggies in it.  Keepin’ it Paleo, as usual, with my omnivorous combination sandwiched in between two slices of almond Paleo Bread from Julian Bakery! With lots of healthy fats, low carbs, and none of the nasty stuff like GMO’s, gluten, grains, I am ready to start my healthy day off.  Usually a healthy meal in the morning is the perfect way to keep the trend going.  I notice with that good start, I drive myself to walk more, eat a great lunch and dinner, and just feel great all day long.  If I were to start off with a bad meal, I’m sluggish, and not in my groove to keep the positive healthiness flowing.   This sandwich was all about good ingredients, giving me energy and nutrients that charge me up, not drain me down.  Let’s see what this sandwich consisted of so you too can give your morning a boost.

Ingredients:

• 2 slices almond Paleo Bread™

• 2 slices Applegate Farms Roast Beef

• 2 tablespoons of Real Pickles Sauerkraut

• 1 thick slice organic tomato

• 1 local organic egg

• Coconut oil for cooking

• Celtic Sea Salt & Black Pepper

Directions:

1)      Cook Paleo Bread™ on pan with coconut oil in pan, and a little on bread.

2)      Add two slices of roast beef to pan

3)      Add thick slice of tomato

4)      When bread is almost done, start cooking egg.

5)      Add sauerkraut to tops of roast beef to warm

6)      When egg is cooked to your liking, add salt & pepper.

7)      Assemble sandwich.

• 2 minutes

• 10 minutes

So what’d you think?  All healthy ingredients, from the top to the bottom of this beauty.  Bread made from almonds, with real fats that we all need.  Yes, we need fats, and good cholesterol.  If we eliminated our cholesterol and fats, we would not survive, as both are essential.  Ever since I started my Paleo journey, my cholesterol figures have drastically improved, my triglycerides have dropped to extremely healthy levels, and I feel awesome.  I especially love the fact that I can eat a solid meal for breakfast; one that is grain free and loaded with healthy fats, and be satiated and last until about six hours later… Lunchtime, I repeat… another grain free meal with healthy fats, veggies and protein.  And repeat, another six hours, and its dinner time.  Still, no snacking, and I have a great dinner.  No snacking until the next morning’s breakfast.  Fat keeps you fuller, longer, and healthier.  Eliminate the grains, eliminate the pains, I say!
