Paleo Powder Encrusted Bacon Egg Sandwich

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Paleo Powder encrusted Bacon and Egg Sandwich.”  Since I was able to make a nice batch of bacon this morning,  I decided to experiment.  Sometimes experiments go completely awry, and sometimes they work to your advantage.  Today’s experiment was quite the advantage!  I decided to coat my bacon with Paleo Powder, a tasty blend of spices that taste great on proteins, made with Chili Powder, pepper blend, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cumin.  It has a nice little kick, nothing too intense, but packed with flavor. 

After the bacon was kicked up a notch with Paleo Powder, I decided to go for a bacon and egg sandwich, with a little of the healthy green stuff to keep my Naturopath happy.  So join me as I go on another bacon adventure.

Ingredients:

• 2 slices Paleo Bread™

• 3 slices Nitrate-Free Bacon

• 2 eggs

• ½ avocado

• Kelp Granules

• Olive oil

Directions:

1)      Cook bacon to your liking, I prefer to slow cook it for 2 hours.

2)      Cook Paleo Bread™  to your liking, I use a dab of olive oil on the bread to bring out the flavor.

3)      Cook eggs (more olive oil, to prevent sticking)

4)      Sprinkle Kelp Granules on eggs

5)      When bread is ready, add eggs, avocado and bacon

6)      Assemble, and enjoy!

 Prep Time:

• 2 minutes

Cook Time:

• 2 hours (depending on how long you like to cook your bacon).

• 1

In order to really get a variety of nutrients, I opted for the almond Paleo Bread, cooked on my pan just the way I like ‘em.  Actually I like ‘em a lot of ways, in the toaster oven on broil, in the pan, maybe my I should try them on my outdoor grill next… Hmm… Good idea!  And with some healthy farm-raised bacon, avocados, and also eggs from farm-raised chickens, we have a breakfast sandwich that is doing you some major favors!

    The recipe sounds fantastic! I am so happy to find this Bakery as well as you! I did find a source for Julian’s products close by as well as Whole Foods. What Kelp Granules do you use in your cooking? Sometimes I like to use dried kelp in sauteing my vegetables (after rinsing in hot water) especially Arame.
