Paleo PB&J Recipe Without Peanuts!

I make a mean peanut butter and jelly sandwich.” – Jack Black.  Guess what, Jack, we’ve got something better!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Paleo PB & J Sandwich”.  Don’t get me wrong, I used to love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches just like you, and you, and even you!  But when I started eating clean, going Paleo, and learning that your peanut butter and jelly sandwich isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, I ditched ‘em.  But not anymore!  With a few simple swaps, thanks to Julian Bakery, we are able to enjoy a healthy PB & J, a “Paleo PB & J!!!!!!!!!!!” 

First off, a peanut is not a nut.  Let’s just put that out there.  And, peanuts are one of the most toxic, pesticide covered “legumes” you can consume.  Yeah, it’s really a bean!  So all you kids out there that say you don’t eat beans, you’ve been duped!  And that bread, ohhhh my that bread….  Your so called healthy, whole grain, fortified bread has way more in it that you are bargaining for.  Blood sugar spikes, genetically modified and bleached wheat, fortified with who knows what!!!  You know who really knows what’s up with bread?  Us Paleo and Celiac folk, who have experienced the headaches, the G.I. issues, the zits, the allergies, and all that comes along with eating your traditional bread.  This is why Paleo Bread is a simple switch that allows us to enjoy life without feeling like garbage, and actually eating something healthy; made with coconut flour and/or almond flour, apple cider vinegar, purified water, egg whites… Wow, those sound, umm, REAL!!!!  Now, what do to, what to do….  How do we make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with healthy ingredients?  Here’s how, thank you Julian Bakery and Paleo Bread!

INGREDIENTS:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1)      Pour Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil in a warm pan

2)      Add frozen blueberries, and allow to defrost

3)      Add washed strawberries

4)      When warmed, start mashing blueberries and strawberries

5)      Keep stirring and mashing, and cook down for about 12 minutes.

6)      Add Now Foods Organic Better Stevia and stir in.

7)      Toast Paleo Bread

8)      When Paleo Bread is done, add Paleo MeeNut Butter, and home-made jelly.

9)      Enjoy, and relive your youth!

COOK TIME:  15 Minutes

And this is how it’s done, folks…. First of all, Paleo Bread is the bread winner!  Its non-GMO, organic, gluten and grain free, yeast free, soy free, dairy free, as well as being low in carbs, calories, and high in protein and fiber.  How about that!!  The jelly is home-made, made with all natural ingredients; fruit, Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil which is a healthy, and pourable coconut oil… And par for the course it’s organic and non-GMO!  And finally a little Now Foods Organic Better Stevia in there, which is a real, non-GMO sweetener.  The peanut butter, well that’s where the game changer comes in.  Paleo MeeNut Butter is one of the finest nut butter blends you can get your hands on.  It’s a mixture of almonds, walnuts, pecans, and macadamia nuts… And, it has NO PEANUTS, as well as NO SUGAR ADDED!  And it also contains some flax seeds, sunflower seeds, organic virgin coconut oil, pure vanilla extract, and sea salt.  Sounds a lot better than a jar of let’s say…. Peter Pan peanut butter, which has the following ingredients: Roasted peanuts, corn syrup solids, soy protein concentrate, sugar, hydrogenated vegetable oils, salt, minerals (magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, iron phosphate, copper sulfate), and vitamins (niacin, vitamin B6, folic acid).  Sounds so healthy, right?  WRONG!!  And we wonder what’s wrong with society today?  Processed foods have taken over, but now it’s our turn to take control and bring healthy back!
