Paleo Chicken & Broccoli Rabe Sandwich

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ” Chicken & Broccoli Rabe Sandwich.”  Since I was a child I have always loved broccoli rabe.  Call me crazy, but I did…  I love that bitter taste, and add on the power of garlic; you know it’s good for you.  Perhaps that was something I picked up at a young age, the ability to know which foods are good for you and which aren’t.  Today, I make full use that sense, as you can see in this post…  Nothing but healthy ingredients on my plate people!  And that’s why I reach for Paleo Bread™ when I create a sandwich!  The coconut is generally my flavor of choice, and today I combine that low carb, grain free, low calorie bread with a nice piece of chicken thigh…  Why the thigh?  Like the coconut bread, dark meat is packed with nutrients from the good fats.  Dark meat gets a bad rap because of fat.  But fat really isn’t the villain that it was made out to be.  In fact, fat is your friend, and that is why I usually pass on the white meat and always go for the nutrient dense dark meat.  Next I throw some garlic slivers in with the broccoli rabe, yeah so what my breath may not be roses and fairy-dust…  But my body will continue to be in tip top shape, with its anti-inflammatory properties fighting their way down through my system.  And, garlic tastes good, dude!  Finally, we season this up with some Paleo Powder, a great tasting seasoning that is sure to satisfy anyone that enjoys a little flavor.   So let’s get down to the nitty-gritty here…


• 2 slices Paleo Bread™

• 1 chicken thigh

• hand full of broccoli rabe

• 1 garlic clove, slivered

Paleo Powder to taste

• Sea salt to taste

• Coconut oil


1)      Cook chicken in frying pan with coconut oil

2)      Add Paleo Powder to chicken

3)      When chicken is about half done, start broccoli rabe in another frying pan with coconut oil

4)      Cook Paleo Bread™ in toaster oven

5)      Add slivered garlic to broccoli rabe

6)      Add sea salt to taste

7)      When all three items are complete, assemble
