Paleo Chicken and Primal Salad Recipe

Paleo Chicken and Primal Salad-  Tonight’s dinner is one that just about every American starts off with… Chicken!  Except we aren’t all about a plain old piece of chicken, we are going for a kickin’ chicken, enhanced with a lovely blend of spices – called Paleo Powder!  We got it through Julian Bakery and we have used it in many ways, but tonight we are bringing the flavor out of the chicken, as well as our Paleo Bread.  I’m taking a nice healthy slice of almond Paleo Bread, and with some Paleo Powder and olive oil, we’ll make it just right for someone that loves good spice.

But since we are known as Primal4Life, we are going to also give some of you dairy lovers a little treat… And, I’m sure you can make the chicken without us explaining the recipe to you…. Right?  Right!  Paleo Powder goes on so easy, and that’s just about all you have to do to the chicken besides grill it!  The salad consists of red and green tomatoes, sliced up, and then Rachel made a Primal Buttermilk Dressing to pour on top. 


¼ cup Buttermilk
3 tbsp Sour Cream
2 tbsp Parsley, Raw Fresh, minced
1 tbsp shallot(s), minced
1 tsp Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1/8 tsp sea salt
¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh thyme, minced


1. Mince your garlic
2. Mince your shallot
3. Mince your parsley
4. Mince your thyme
5. Combine garlic, shallot, parsley, buttermilk, sour cream, thyme, apple cider vinegar, pepper & salt in a small bowl; stir with a whisk.
6. Chill dressing until ready to serve.

Prep Time:

• 5 minutes

Serving size:

• 1.5 tablespoons


• 6 tablespoons

Another delicious dinner, with the lovely Primal salad that Rach made, the kickin’ chicken and spiced up almond Paleo Bread, and some raw cheese, we have a very well rounded meal.  If you aren’t Primal and are a true hard-core Paleo Peep and are dairy free, just skip the cheese….  Until someday when Julian Bakery comes out with a Paleo Cheese of some sorts, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the spiced up chicken and Paleo Bread

So in order to make this meal, make sure you go to for that gluten and MSG free Paleo Powder, which goes great on proteins and veggies, and apparently Paleo Bread!  And also be sure to stock up on your Paleo Bread, both flavors!!  You need variety, and it comes in coconut and almond.  I love, love, love the coconut, but I gotta have my almond too!!  Especially due to the fact that it’s low in carbs (just 1 net carb!), high in fiber and protein, and lacks soy, gmo’s, grains and gluten!
