I know not everyone is in the mood to start workin’ in the kitchen right when you wake up…. Today’s meal is an example of how we can eat till we’re full, put a smile on your face from delicious foods, yet keep it all low carb! This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Lazy Low Carb Breakfast”. Julian Bakery offers so many Paleo items, that I could come up with hundreds of different easy to make, yet still low carb, and scrumptious meals… Today’s version was so simple, but tasted so great, that I had to blog about it!
I started my frying pan up with a dab of some GMO free and pourable Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil…. Why? Because coconut oil is one of the healthiest oils to cook with; saturated fat has taken so much abuse, but us low carb/high fat folks have been reaping the benefits of it and seeing incredible results because of it. It benefits the brain and nervous system function, a stronger immune system, and even improved cardiovascular risk factors. Think saturated fats clog arteries? Inflammation and vegetable oils that oxidize are now getting blamed for such issues. No grains no pains! Check out Coconut Secret’s page showing more Saturated Fat Benefits. Meanwhile, check out some of Coconut Secret’s products on Julian Bakery’s Baking product page. I’ve been reading and hearing this for quite some time now, and my inflammation numbers are extremely low, while my cholesterol numbers have improved drastically…. Another great read on the saturated fat topic can be found in Beyond Bacon, along with some fantastic meals!!
After that delicious Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil is warmed up, in go my pasture-raised eggs! Yes, more low carb deliciousness, with so many amino acids and a very healthy source of protein. In my toaster oven, a wonderful and soft Paleo Waffle! Yeah you may be thinking “Okay Dan, but you said this was low carb…” But of course! Just 8 net carbs for an entire waffle! It’s made with coconut flour, stevia, cinnamon, coconut oil, egg whites, all good stuff!!!!! And if I feel good after eating an entire waffle, chances are you will too! I have so many food sensitivities, that I literally can feel horrible after eating a meal that was “modernized”. But since Julian Bakery puts only the best ingredients into their products, we can all rest assure that we are eating clean.
- 1 Paleo Waffle
- 2 eggs
- 1 avocado
- ½ TBSP Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil
- Quantum Pink Salt and black pepper to taste
- ¼ cup Nature’s Hollow Sugar-Free Maple Syrup
- 1 TBSP Sunfood Super Foods Golden Berries
- 1 TBSP Sunfood Super Foods Goji Berries
1) Cook eggs in Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil
2) Toast Paleo Waffles
3) Slice avocado in half and plate
4) Season eggs with salt and pepper
5) Plate Paleo Waffles, eggs and avocado
7) Pour Nature’s Hollow Sugar-Free Maple Syrup over waffles as well as on avocados
Looks incredible, doesn’t it? With some awesome tasting and ultra-nutritious Sunfood Super Foods Goji Berries as well as their Golden Berries, we’re adding on a bunch of anti-oxidants and lots more. Meanwhile we sweeten things up with a sugar-free and low carb treat…. It’s the Nature’s Hollow Sugar-Free Maple Syrup, with just 2 net carbs for a whopping quarter-cup! Sweetened with Xylitol, it has a bunch of health benefits as well, like gum and teeth strengthening, the ability to kill bacteria in the mouth and in the gut, and tons more. Plus I love the fact that it’s not some new “thing” that just came out, it’s been around for a long time, so it’s been put through the tests. And don’t forget to drizzle it onto your avocado, it tastes so good and completely changes that avocado into something much, much more!
This meal may be a little large for you, so if it is, just share it with a loved one! They’ll appreciate it, trust me! Or make just half a Paleo Waffle, one egg, half an avocado, and I’m sure the average person will still be fully satiated and quite surprised at how long you’ll remain full throughout your day.
