Lamb & Egg Paleo Wrap

Fresh veggies, organic ground lamb, a local egg, hmm, what can we make with this???  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Lamb & Egg Paleo Wrap”.  Every single time that I step into my Farmer’s Market, I get all sorts of happy… Meanwhile a ton of ideas of what I can conjure up flutter through my mind.  Today’s breakfast is going to be a tasty and filling one, I can guarantee that!

First things first, I get my Paleo Wraps out, cause I know I’m in the mood for a tasty wrap… One that’s low in carbs, calories, made with the least ingredients possible yet still healthy ones, and one without GMO’s, gluten, grains, or soy!  Julian Bakery has hit a home-run with Paleo Wraps, as I have yet to find anything else that is anywhere near as healthy or as low carb as these.  Plus they taste really good and allow me to feel my best!

Next, I have my fresh veggies chopped and ready to rock… I have some onion, mushroom, which I’ll be sautéing, and savoy cabbage kept in its raw state.  If you watched the corresponding video, you’ll catch me talking about why I’m cooking some of the veggies and why some are raw…  But in case you missed it, cooking can enhance, and hurt some of the nutrients that are in foods.  I opt to vary what I cook and what I eat raw as well as cooked, to get a wide array of nutrients.  Plus the raw cabbage gives it a nice crunch!

  • Paleo Wraps
  • 1 TBSP Paleo Butter
  • ¼ onion, chopped
  • 2 mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ lb organic ground lamb
  • 1 free range egg
  • 1 large savoy cabbage leaf, chopped
  • Quantum Pink Salt and ground black pepper to taste

1)      Melt ½ TBSP Paleo Butter in pan, and begin cooking lamb.

2)      Melt the other ½ TBSP Paleo Butter in another pan, and sauté mushrooms and onions.

3)      Season both with salt & pepper.

4)      When veggies are done, set aside, and begin cooking egg to your liking.

5)      Flip lamb, and cook to your liking.

6)      Add cabbage to Paleo Wrap, then top with lamb, mushrooms & onions, and finally top with the egg.

I decided to cook up my egg in Sunny-Side-Up form, which I love!!!  That runny yolk isn’t for everyone, but personally I can’t resist.  Plus yolks are loaded with lots of healthy fats, along with lutein and zeaxanthin, which help prevent macular degeneration in the eyes.  Just make sure you are getting quality, free-range eggs, from healthy chickens.  No CAFO chickens please!

Don’t worry, I wasn’t baa-ashful!  I couldn’t wait to dig in!!!  All the while, this whole meal has only twelve net carbs…  My couple of Paleo Wrap added a nice touch, along with standing strong in holding all of this healthy food.  The Paleo Butter allowed my lamb, veggies and egg to get cooked up nicely without sticking, while adding vitamins A, D, and K2….  And that Quantum Pink Salt gave the entire meal a nice touch of flavor, while providing me with nutrients from two great salts; Pink Alaea Hawaiian and Mediterranean Sea.  Without added fillers or binding agents!
