Julian Bakery’s Honey Garlic Chicken Paleo Wrap

Yum, yum Julian Bakery recipe of the week!!  Here’s a Paleoriffic meal that will work great as a wrap or a sandwich!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Honey Garlic Chicken Paleo Wrap.”  I’m opting for the a Julian Bakery wrap!!!  Rachel stumbled onto a Paleo website with some great recipes, and we’ve decided to take them one step further with some wonderful products from Julian Bakery… That site is www.ThePaleoMom.com; so far we’ve made a few meals and we’re lovin’ what she’s cookin’ up!

Tonight’s meal starts off with a nice, simple marinade…. We throw a few ingredients into a saucepan, heat it up, and cool it down.  Then marinade for a few hours, and cook up!  In that marinade, we have some Y.S. Eco Bee Farms Raw Organic Honey, which is a pesticide/herbicide/pollutant-free organic honey, full of natural antioxidants and a great taste!  Coconut Aminos is next, the perfect soy replacement with 65% less sodium!!!  It also has vitamin C, B-vitamins, amino acids, and it’s GMO-free, organic, and Kosher too!  Another Coconut Secret product that we added to this chicken dish is their Coconut Vinegar…  With similar nutrients like the Coconut Aminos, it has a nearly neutral Ph, it’s made from raw coconut tree sap, and it’s the perfect Paleo vinegar if you ask me!




1)      Heat Honey, lemon juice, water, Coconut Aminos, Coconut Vinegar, garlic and ginger in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.  Turn heat down to low once it starts to simmer and let simmer for 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool.

2)      Pour marinade over chicken (I like to do this in a large ziplock bag but you could do this in a bowl or baking dish too).  Let marinade in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (the more the better).

3)      Barbecue chicken until cooked to your liking.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

While our chicken was grillin’ up, Rachel was making a really nice side, which also came from www.ThePaleoMom.com and it’s called “Curry Braised Kale and Cabbage”.  Using some Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil, kale, green cabbage, a yellow onion, curry powder and some water, this was a delicious veggie, and it worked quite well with the chicken!  Both recipes ended up together in my Paleo Wrap, the perfect way to enjoy a great combination of protein and veggies like this one.  It’s low in carbs, low in calories, strong enough to hold tons of food, portable, and healthy!  Why is it healthy?  Well, it’s made from coconut, for starters…. Coconut, in my opinion, is one of the ultimate foods out there.  It’s a healthy fat, it’s anti-fungal, it’s tasty, very satiating, and there’s a ton of health benefits besides that!  And the coconut that’s in your Paleo Wrap is GMO-free and organic too!
