Julian Bakery Egg Red Onion & Tomato Paleo Bread Sandwich

Eating a remarkable Julian Bakery Paleo meal like this doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, nor does it require that much time in the kitchen… And I’m gonna show you how!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you Julian Bakery’s “Egg Red Onion & Tomato Paleo Bread Sandwich”.  A lot of folks assume eating right involves very expensive and time consuming meals.  Although some of our meals can be extravagant, loaded with lots of healthy and wonderful ingredients, but in general I beg to differ….  This meal took just minutes to prepare, it literally cost less than $4.00, and it was delicious and filling. This lovely sandwich begins, and ends, with almond Paleo Bread.  It’s been upgraded to a softer, more traditional bread-like texture, and I calculate it to cost around fifty-cents per slice.  Compared to traditional bread, obviously it costs a little more… But you get what you pay for!  Paleo Bread is made with all natural, non-GMO ingredients, such as Purified Water, Almond Flour, Organic Coconut Flour, Egg Whites, Psyllium Seed Powder, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Potassium Bicarbonate, and Sea Salt.  No cheap genetically modified grains, no soy to play with your estrogen levels, no unhealthy table salt either.  Just healthy, organic ingredients that help you reach your nutritional goals and feel better.  And Paleo Bread has just one net carb per slice, a whopping seven grams of protein, and five grams of fiber as well to help fill you up with less calories and carbs.

Next, crack in your healthy local eggs… I get them at three dollars a dozen, so this runs me just fifty cents for the pair.  Add in some organic produce; like sliced grape tomatoes and about a ¼ cup of chopped red onions.  Figure about a dollar for the five grape tomatoes that I used, and possibly twenty cents for the red onion.  Now, we pour in some organic, GMO-free Garlic Liquid Premium Coconut Oil.  It’s the perfect way to get a healthy, heat-stable oil, without making a mess like your average coconut oil possibly would.  About a tablespoon of this wonderful product, in which Julian Bakery offers, and I calculate it to run about eighty cents, since we’re using about 1/16th of the bottle.

Ingredients:

Directions:

1)      In your toaster/toaster-oven, toast your Paleo Bread to your liking.

2)      In your warm pan/cast-iron skillet, pour in coconut oil.

3)      Crack eggs into pan, add tomatoes and red onion.

4)      Cook to your liking, and season with salt and pepper.

5)      Add to Paleo Bread, and enjoy!

Finally, we season this Paleo breakfast up with some delicious, and healthy, Quantum Nutrition Labs Quantum Pink Salt.  It’s a wonderful blend of two natural salts that not only taste great, but provide you with essential nutrients and trace minerals.  I’d say this one is priceless, but literally would cost pennies for a couple sprinkles. So let’s add this all up….  A buck for the Paleo Bread, fifty cents for the eggs, a dollar twenty for the tomatoes and red onions, eighty cents for one of the best coconut oils on the planet, and a few pennies for the Quantum Pink Salt, and black pepper as well.  Our grand total comes to less than $3.70….  That’s comparable to just a few “Dollar Menu” options at McDonalds, yet I refuse to even go there when it comes to comparing nutrition between the two.  Go out for breakfast at a local Diner, or restaurant, order up a similar breakfast sandwich, and you will pay at least twice this amount for a lot more…. And when I say a lot more, I mean more calories, more carbs, more cheap grains with gluten, more soy, more inflammatory and oxidizing oils, as well as possibly unhealthy eggs from sick chickens.  If this wasn’t enough for you, slap on half an avocado for another seventy five cents or so, for more healthy and filling fats.  Have a piece of Paleo Chocolate for added antioxidants, again, we’re talking cents, while making sense!
