Hole-In-One Egg & Paleo Flat Bread Recipe

Hole in one!!!!  Here’s a great way to enjoy a simple and healthy breakfast; eggs, toast, and a little avocado and basil on the side.  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Hole-In-One Egg & Paleo Flat Bread”.  I love seeing others’ Paleo meals on Instagram, Facebook, and online in general.  After seeing a similar recipe from “cavecrave” on Instagram which was more like a French toast, I decided to try it out with a simple eggs on toast recipe.  With a basic hole cut into the center of my Paleo Bread, my egg stays put, and cooks right in!  It’s magic!  Well not really, but it’s a great idea and I’m always down for new tricks of the trade.

Using a Hydro-Flask, which seems to have the perfect sized hole for this application, I cut out some circles from my coconut Paleo Bread, and fried them up with an egg in the center in that delicious PrimalFat Coconut Ghee.  Talk about delicious and nutritious!  Coconut Ghee is a mix of grass-fed ghee and coconut oil, combining short and medium chain fatty acids, creating a heavenly blend that resists oxidation, providing you with MCT’s, and tons of great flavor.

Once cooked, I seasoned these “flat breads” with ground black pepper and Quantum Pink Salt; an incredible sea salt blend that will wow your taste buds and doesn’t include any fillers or binding agents like traditional salts may have.  And don’t forget about those trace minerals!  Yes, sea salt is actually beneficial.

1)      Cut hole in center of toasted Paleo Bread

2)      Melt PrimalFat Coconut Ghee in large, flat frying pan/skillet.

3)      Once melted, add Paleo Bread and crack in your eggs carefully.

4)      Allow eggs to cook, you may have to cover the pan/skillet in order to speed up the process.

5)      Season with salt and pepper, plate when done and add basil leaves and avocado as you wish.

Prep Time:  2 min

Cook Time:  12 min

Serves: 1

Yet another simple meal, kept gluten/grain/soy/GMO free, but still nutrient dense and high in great taste!  I love the fact that I can enjoy this one by hand, just pick it up and bite into that awesome coconut Paleo Bread.  I love connecting with my food like that…  And enjoy that awesome yolk, oh that yolk!!!!!  With basil and avocado, I’m going to definitely be making this one over and over!!!

So make sure you go to www.JulianBakery.com/Paleo to grab your Paleo Bread which is not only free of all the bad stuff I just mentioned, but also low in carbs, low in calories, high in fiber which helps to keep you fuller longer and aid in weight loss, but also made with great ingredients.  This results in a bread that doesn’t spike your blood sugar and insulin levels, it keeps inflammation away, and allows you to feel good.  Cause that’s what matters!

That’s what we used to call “Toad in the Hole” when I was a child. Of course, back then it was made with traditional ingredients, none of the autoimmune-safe Paleo ingredients. Very good!
