Want to see how Dan and Ali kick off their snowed in Sunday using healthy, but different Julian Bakery Paleo items? This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Healthy Father-Daughter Breakfast”. So many nutritious options, the decisions and combinations are endless… But I’ll let Ali guide us through today’s breakfast decision making. She wanted eggs and Paleo Waffles to begin. No issue there, since our eggs are from the farm, loaded with quality protein, healthy omega fats and amino acids too. Paleo Waffles aren’t your average waffles either, made from coconut flour, egg whites, almond milk, coconut oil, sea salt, stevia, and cinnamon! Plus, they have only 180 calories for half a waffle, just four net carbs, only three grams of sugar, and a bunch of protein… Ten grams! And guess what, they are my favorite tasting waffles, I swear! They are soft, and fluffy, with a nice cinnamon taste to go with the Belgian style texture. Simply amazing! Yet you wouldn’t even know that they were gluten and grain free, GMO-free, soy free, and loaded with this much good flavor!
To prepare our eggs, I opt for some Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil, which is organic, GMO free, and pourable. Cooking oils never got so easy! Or so healthy! Ali opts for Paleo Butter, which is a French-style ghee from grass-fed cow’s. Just in case that sounds odd, it isn’t…. Cows are meant to eat grass, not grains, not saw dust, not candy… You’d be amazed at what cows are fed just to plump them up for a quick profit. Grass is king, and grass-fed cows are the optimal way to enjoy your beef since they have more omega-3 fats, less omega-6 fats, therefore less inflammation getting into your foods. And since Paleo butter is loaded with CLA Tonalin, as well as vitamins A, D, and K2, I am thrilled that Ali is taking in a bunch of nutrients to assist her as she grows.
To season these lovely eggs, I opt for Quantum Nutrition Labs – Quantum Pink Salt, which is a lovely blend of two premium, undyed, unheated, solar-dried sea salts: pure Mediterranean sea salt and pink Alaea Hawaiian sea salt which supply critical trace elements. Ali gets some Sunfood Super Foods Fine Himalayan Crystal Salt; which has a wonderful pink hue, it contains 84 trace minerals in a form that can be easily assimilated and metabolized by the body. We each go our separate ways once again, but both are excellent choices that Julian Bakery gives you the option to choose from.
Once our eggs were cooked the way we wanted (I went sunny side up, and Ali went scrambled), I decided to add in some mushrooms and mixed greens… A few minutes of cooking up with my eggs and I was ready to rock! Ali washed some seedless red organic grapes, for the both of us… Aww, how nice of her! Our Paleo Waffles toasted up quickly right out of the freezer in our toaster oven, and we once again chose different Paleo products; Ali initially was going with Nature’s Hollow Maple Syrup (a sugar-free alternative that is sweetened with Xylitol, and has only two net carbs for a ¼ cup!), but then changed things up for the Coconut Secret – Coconut Nectar (which definitely has more carbs and sugar (thirteen grams), yet is still low glycemic, non-gmo, and packs a punch with vitamins and amino acids). I recently fell in love with these cute little honey bears from Nature’s Hollow Honey, another ultra-low carb and sugar-free Xylitol product. Who would’ve thought that waffles and honey would equate to a total of 180 calories, just five net carbs, three grams of sugar, and ten grams of protein?? That’s incredible!
I also topped my Paleo Waffles with another all-time favorite; Coconut Manna from Nutiva. Its delicious, it’s spreadable, or you can eat it in chunks right out of the jar! And each tablespoon has only one net carb, just one gram of sugar, and a hundred calories. To be honest, I keep jars of the Coconut Manna at work, at home, wherever… It’s my after-dinner treat, mixed with some Paleo Chocolate and/or some Paleo MeeNut Butter, it is simply an amazing combination. Plus, when I am just not full enough from my meal, this is a perfect way to top things off!!!
I also enjoyed a sparking probiotic drink, and Ali had a probiotic frozen kefir yogurt. I am a huge fan of probiotics, keeping your gut happy and healthy, and this is why I choose Julian Bakery for my specialty Paleo items! Keeping inflammation low, getting rid of bad bacteria with Xylitol, saying no to GMO’s, gluten, soy, grains…. It all adds up to a healthier you!
All in all, not a bad breakfast, right?? We are fully satiated; we aren’t bloated from excessive carbs or sugar, we got an incredible amount of various vitamins, nutrients, and amino acids… And it was simply delicious! In order for you to have a nutritionally vast meal that tastes great like ours did, go to www.JulianBakery.com/Paleo today!
