Grass-Fed Burger on Paleo Bread Recipe

I love coming home to the smell of some quality organic beef grillin’ up!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a “Grass-Fed Burger on Paleo Bread”.   Tonight I’m digging into a top quality beef burger sandwiched between some of the best bread around:  Paleo Bread!  And while my almond Paleo Bread is getting toasty on my grill, Rachel was making a very nice Paleo mushroom topping to go with it!

Paleo Bread is the only way to fly, if you are eating low carb, gluten free, staying away from processed junk, GMO’s, soy, or starch, you’ll definitely want to check it out.  And since it’s also low in carbs and loaded with fiber, it’s a win win situation!  Combined with the best grass-fed beef you can find, and some of your favorite toppings, you cannot go wrong.

Ingredients (burgers):

  • 1 lb Grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper


Ingredients (mushrooms):

  • 12 oz sliced baby bella mushrooms
  • 2 large shallots, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 TBSP Paleo Butter
  • ¼ cup Marsala wine
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper

Other ingredients:


1)      Put all burger ingredients in bowl, mix, and form four patties.  Cook to your liking, we grilled them.

2)      White burgers cook – Heat 1 TBSP Paleo Butter in pan, sauté shallots (1-3 minutes), then add mushrooms until soft. 

3)      Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute), add Marsala wine, salt and pepper, and simmer until liquid has evaporated.  Right before serving, stir in remaining 1 TBSP Paleo Butter.

4)      Toast or grill Paleo Bread to your liking, serve with burgers and top with mushroom mixture, arugula, mayo, pickles, and anything else your heart desires.

Cook Time:  20 min
