Egg Kale & Kraut Paleo Sandwich Recipe

A typical morning for me is where I can come up with a great breakfast in minutes… One that will keep me full, load me up with good nutrition, and will be really delicious!  This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you an “Egg Kale & Kraut Paleo Sandwich!”  Just a few ingredients are all it takes, but it’s all about the quality of the ingredients!  I’m getting some organic, fresh, real foods out to make a Paleo sandwich that will allow me to stay in ketosis, hold me over for the next five hours with no snacking needed, and keep me energized with good nutrition!  

I kick things off with some PrimalFat Coconut Ghee in my frying pan.  It is quickly becoming my go-to cooking fat, because it’s not just tasty as all get out, but it’s heat stable and resists oxidation way better that other cooking oils.  Yes, it’s true; canola, soy, and even olive oil are going to give you more free radicals compared to this coconut and grass-fed ghee blend.  I’ve even been saving that EVOO to top my foods after cooking for health benefits, yet I steer clear from canola and soy.  And what is canola anyways?  It’s actually from the rape seed, which is extremely processed, no thanks!


  • ¼ cup sauerkraut



  1. Start toasting your Paleo Bread

  2. Melt PrimalFat Coconut Ghee and then sauté kale for a few minutes, until it begins to soften.

  3. Add eggs, and mix into kale.

  4. Season with Sunfood Superfoods Fine Himalayan Crystal Salt & Black Pepper to taste.

  5. When Paleo Bread is toasted to your liking, spread on some Paleo Mayo, then top with your egg/kale combo.

  6. Top with fresh sauerkraut, and enjoy!

By cooking up our fresh kale and pasture-raised eggs in that delicious PrimalFat Coconut Ghee, we’re ensuring that we are loading our foods up with more nutrition, more taste, and also getting short and medium chain fatty acids.  Fat is your friend, but it’s gotta be good fats!  And PrimalFat Coconut Ghee has ‘em!  Next, we get our Paleo Bread toasted to perfection…. I like it really toasted, so it’s crispy crunchy and awesome…  I keep it in the freezer so it lasts, and that only adds a minute or two more to the toasting process.  Then, I spread on my Paleo Mayo, top it with my kale and eggs, and then add some beneficial bacteria and a bitter crunch via fresh sauerkraut.   In just minutes, I went from looking in the fridge to enjoying a hearty breakfast, minimal effort, maximum nutrition.
