This wrap is a combination of fresh and salty, with a nice creamy and healthy mayo mixed in… This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Cold Cut Combo Paleo Wrap.” This morning I was struggling to figure out what I wanted for breakfast…. Since we are about to go on a trip, we haven’t been to the market, so choices are limited since the fridge is pretty bare. I don’t normally go for deli meats, but since we do occasionally buy some organic varieties, Rachel reminded me that I could make a nice cold cut combo…
Starting this meal off with an awesome Paleo Wrap from Julian Bakery, we establish the base of our meal right there… It’s a low carb and low calorie alternative to other wraps, and it also lacks the grains, gluten, GMO’s, soy, and even dairy that others may contain. I really enjoy the fact that they are made with just two ingredients, which makes reading the label literally a breeze!!! No mispronouncing words that you have no idea what they even mean…… Or what’s in your food!! Coconut water and coconut meat. That is it!
Next up, I get my ingredients out of the fridge; organic salami, organic ham, organic pepperoni, and fresh veggies like baby kale, baby spinach, and red onion. Yum!!! And for some added flavor I am going to add a little mayo, but not just any mayo, it’s Paleo Mayo!!! If you’ve read my blogs before, you’ll recall that we make this Paleo Mayo and jar it, this way we know exactly what’s in our mayonnaise! This Paleo Mayo came from a lovely cookbook that we picked up at Julian Bakery called “500 Paleo Recipes”. Dana Carpender has done a terrific job with this one, keeping the recipes clean, Paleo, low carb, and tasty!!! Finally I finish this one off with a sprinkle of black pepper, and some Quantum Pink Salt; a great blend of two healthy salts, without the anti-caking agents typically found in other salts. We love it since it has a nice light taste, and a little goes a long way which is great because it’ll last!

As I mentioned in the beginning, this combination was delicious and fresh, with a nice salty flavor from the cold cut combo, along with that Quantum Pink Salt. I especially liked the creamy Paleo Mayo that was oozing out; I soooo missed that when I was avoiding mayonnaise all together. I substituted avocado in place of mayo for a long time, which is super-healthy…. But it’s just not the same. Now I can enjoy a mayo, and I know where every ingredient came from!! Big thanks to Dana and her “500 Paleo Recipes” book!
And of course, I also enjoyed the light coconutty flavor from the Paleo Wrap. Somehow that blended right in with the saltiness of the meats, as well as the fresh greens, and that red onion bite. An hour later, I am satiated, happy, not over-stuffed whatsoever…. Feeling good after the meal is just as important as how you feel while enjoying it. You know exactly what I’m talkin’ about…. For example: Waffles taste great, but soon after eating them with some butter and syrup, you feel bloated, lethargic, tired, and need a nap. This meal did not do any of that! And speaking of waffles, if you really want to experience waffles again, grab some of Julian Bakery’s Paleo Waffles!!!!!! They are out, ready for you to enjoy without that lethargic, sickening experience afterwards. Paleo Waffles are non-GMO, gluten-free, low in carbs and made with coconut flour, almond milk, coconut oil, and other natural ingredients!!! Plus, they are soft, moist, and thick like a Belgian Waffle!! With some Coconut Secret – Coconut Nectar and a dab of Paleo Butter, you too can relive the waffle experience, without the aftershock!
Thanks for putting whatever you were doing on hold to check out this Paleo food blog, which I hope you enjoyed!! Make sure you go to www.JulianBakery.com/Paleo for the hottest Paleo items around, including the Paleo Wraps and the new Paleo Waffles, and please have a healthy and happy day!
