Cincinnati Chili Breakfast Wrap

I’ve never been to Cincinnati, but this chili recipe is bringing Cincinnati to me!  Here’s Tami Credicott’s “Cincinnati Chili” recipe, out of the Paleo Indulgences cookbook…  Hi, I’m Dan from Primal4Life, and this is the “Cincinnatti Chili Breakfast Wrap!”.  

When are all of these crazy, but delicious combinations of healthy foods going to stop?!??!?  Hopefully never!!!  We were looking for a fall type of a hearty meal the other night, and we were drawn towards the “Cincinnatti Chili” recipe in Paleo Indulgences.  It looks and sounds wonderful….  And guess what?  It tasted that way too!  With spices like cinnamon, allspice, and even cocoa powder, this bowl of chili warms you up just right.  Plus, this is one of those meals that is just as good, if not better, as leftovers!

This morning, I decided to take the Cincinnati Chili one step further.  By making it into a delicious breakfast in a Paleo Wrap!  Yes folks, by using the best wrap on earth, available to you via Julian Bakery, I’m going to create a very filling and scrumptious meal.  Don’t worry, it’ll still be considered low-carb and healthy, due to the fact that Paleo Wraps have just four net carbs per wrap and they are made GMO and gluten-free, with organic coconut!  It’s so low-carb, that I’m actually using two Paleo Wraps without concern!

  • 2 TBSP Nuco Liquid Premium Coconut Oil

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1 lb organic ground-beef

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 TBSP chili powder

  • ½ TSP allspice

  • 1 TSP cinnamon

  • 1 TSP cumin

  • ¼ TSP cayenne pepper

  • ½ TSP Sunfood Super Foods Fine Himayalan Crystal Salt

  • 2 TSP paprika

  • 1/8 TSP cloves

  • 1.5 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 15-oz can tomato sauce

  • 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 TBSP raw apple cider vinegar

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 TSP Paleo Butter

  • 2 strips organic nitrate-free bacon

  • 2 Paleo Wraps

  • 1 TBSP organic sour cream (to top if desired)

Directions (for chili):

  1. Heat the oil in a stockpot.  Add the onion and cook 2 minutes over medium heat.

  2. Add the ground beef, garlic, and chili powder and cook until the meat is browned and no longer pink.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients, stirring to combine.  Bring to a simmer.  Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 1 ½ hours.

Directions (for wrap):

  1. Cook your bacon, meanwhile cook two eggs to your liking in Paleo Butter.

  2. When bacon/eggs are complete, add them to your two Paleo Wraps.

  3. Top with chili, and add organic sour cream if you wish.

As you can see, this chili is no joke.  With all of those wonderful ingredients, you probably can smell what’s cookin’ already!  Now, take that and combine it with a couple free-range eggs cooked up in that savory Paleo Butter and some organic nitrate-free bacon…. In the Paleo Wraps!  Yeah, it sounds good, doesn’t it!!!
