Caveman Foods Caveman Crunch – Cranberry Apricot Nut Bar

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you “Caveman Foods Caveman Crunch – Cranberry Apricot Nut Bar.”  Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t… Today I feel like a ton of nuts, and seeds, and dried fruit!  We are reviewing a new bar that Julian Bakery sells in their wonderful Paleo section, made by Caveman Foods, called Caveman Crunch – Cranberry Apricot Nut.  It’s an all-natural, gluten-free bar, that is made without peanuts or soy!  I’m glad to hear that, because soy really bothers me and my autoimmune issues, not to mention that soy hasn’t really had much good press in the past, ummmm, decade?  Peanuts aren’t nuts, they are legumes… And therefore we Paleo and Primal folk try to give the peanut the pass, no thanks bro!  These bars are also dairy free, minimally processed, and give you three grams of fiber, one-hundred and ninety calories, no trans fats, nineteen carbs, and they taste pretty darn good!

  • Almonds
  • Brown rice syrup
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Dried cranberries (cranberries, sugar)
  • Evaporated cane syrup
  • Cashews
  • Dried apricots
  • Currants
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sea salt

This morning I decided to try one of these guys out, after my morning breakfast I wanted a little more in my belly…. And I figured this would be a great snack, and a good way to keep things Paleo.  Breaking the bar in half, with my daughter of course (she doesn’t ever miss these opportunities….), it’s a moderately hard bar at first… But as you split the bar, you notice it does have a soft-texture to it.  It’s quite a blend of hard and soft, chunky and smooth, sweet and salty….  The nuts and seeds are almost overwhelming, the Caveman Crunch Bar is packed with them, along with dried fruits, and some sea salt…. And if you’ve read my reviews before you know I’m a fan of sea salt.  Table salt can scram, because sea salt is where it’s at with actually having nutrients in it and being good for you….  Overall, a good taste, a ton of nuts and “crunch” as the name implies, and you can get it in that same place where all of the best Paleo products can be found….

So make sure you stroll on over to Julian Bakery’s website, check out the latest and greatest, and also make sure you stock up on their ultimate bread – Paleo Bread – which comes in two tasty flavors; coconut and almond.  Can’t decide?  Buy both, and remember that they stay fresh in the freezer for three months!

Thanks for stopping by to check out this review of the Caveman Foods Caveman Crunch – Cranberry Apricot Nut Bar.  I hope you enjoyed it, we certainly did!!!  And please stop by again for my delicious and nutritious Paleo and Primal foods, ingredients, and other fine items… Brought to you by Julian Bakery.
